The Alnour Arabic School was established in the early 90’s as an Arabic and Islamic weekend school to provide a total language experience to students whose parents want them to have the advantage of becoming proficient in the Arabic language in addition to their proficiency in the English and/or French language. Therefore, the school teaches the students the Arabic language Arts, Islamic Studies, and Quran. All subjects are taught in Arabic.

The Alnour School is a Saturday school designed to complement each student’s daily education, whether it be public school, private school, or homeschool. It is an extension of the International Language program run by the Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) and is designed to complement it by adding the Quran and Islamic Studies component to the original Arabic Language program.

Currently, the school has students in the Junior Kindergarten to the 8th grade. The school opens the classes every year as needed.

Each Saturday from 9:30AM – 2:30PM

The school is registered in the Province of Ontario as a nonprofit organization.

تأسست مدرسة النور على أيدي نخبة من الأمهات الفاضلات اللاتي هاجرن مع عائلاتهن إلى كندا في أوائل التسعينيات من القرن الماضي.وقد جاءت فكرة إنشاء هذه المدرسة العربية رغبة منهن في الحفاظ على لغة ودين أطفالهم ولعدم توفر مدرسة أو معهد لتعليم اللغة العربية والقرآن والتربية الإسلامية، وقد كان معظم تلاميذها من أبناء وبنات المدرسات.

وبعون الله وتوفيقه ومع وجود النية الخالصة لله عز وجل استمرت المدرسة بالنمو حتى أصبحت الأولى على صعيد العاصمة الكندية أوتاوا.

ومدرسة النور هي مدرسة نهاية الأسبوع تخدم الجاليات العربية و الإسلامية في مدينة أوتاوا الكندية ، وهي جزء من برنامج اللغات العالمية أو الدولية التي يقدمها مجلس التعليم المدرسي لمنطقة أوتاوا – كارلتون. ويوفر برنامج مدرسة النور تعليم اللغة العربية والقرآن الكريم والتربية الإسلامية للتلاميذ من مرحلة صف الروضة إلى الصف الثامن المتوسط ،وهو برنامج أسبوعي صباح كل يوم سبت من العام الدراسي ويستمر من الساعة 9:30 – 2:30
