Once again, I was delighted to meet with your kids in the in-person 4th-grade Arabic class yesterday. I thank you for the easy flow in the drop-off and pick-up at the school gymnasium. Please keep in mind that It has been a little over 2 years since our last in-person learning, so things might seem a little overwhelming. With that said, I appreciate your patience and cooperation, I am sure things will fall right into place soon enough.
In the class, we were able to do some more reviewing in the Arabic Language Basics ( Letters and their vowels), and a lot of exemplary words were given in writing, please review them with your kids (they should have written some words on their papers ).
حديقة، سبورة، فيل، زينة، طاووس، رهام ،زرافة، كتاب، أشجار، طعام، صورة،بلال ، ميرال، حوت، حيتان ، الخ من الكلمات .
They were instructed to assign the following colors with a corresponding vowel :
. برتقالي مد الألف ، الأحمر مد الياء، و الأصفر مد الواو
a circle was to be drawn around each vowel respectively in each word once it was detected.
Towards the end of the class, they watched a video of a short story, The students were able to hear it first, then answer some questions. It was a great chance for me to acquire some knowledge about their Oral Communication Skills: Listening, and Speaking. They were amazing.
You can find the story in the following link and you can hear it with your child:
